This is the only way we will have peace. This is very valuable to us, and we will pay.” Entertainment Weekly did not immediately hear back from the Pima County Sheriff’s Department for comment. Nancy, 84, was reported missing from her Tucson home on Feb. 1. PCSD officials revealed during a Feb. 5 press conference that she was last seen outside her home around 10 p.m. on Jan. 31, after being dropped off by family members. Her doorbell camera was disconnected several hours later, and at approximately 2:30 a.m. on Feb. 1, her pacemaker disconnected from her personal device. On Feb. 2, a public information officer for the sheriff’s department told Entertainment Weekly that the sheriff believed Nancy “was taken from the home against her will, possibly in the middle of the night. Taken against her will includes possible kidnapping or abduction.” The Feb. 5 press conference confirmed speculation that blood had been found on the porch outside Nancy’s house, which was later matched to her DNA after testing.
