Her hard work led her to the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, where she joined the women’s track and field program as a freshman cadet. Tragically, her life was cut short at just 19 years old after she was found unresponsive in her dormitory.An investigation later found that her death was linked to severe complications from illness, including respiratory infection, pneumonia-related complications, and a bacterial infection that contributed to sepsis. Her sudden passing shocked her family, classmates, teammates, and the academy community.
