Communities Mourn After Private Plane Accident Near Statesville
On December 18, 2025, a private aircraft accident near Statesville Regional Airport brought deep sadness to families, friends, and communities connected to those on board.
The aircraft involved was a Cessna Citation II, a twin-engine business jet commonly used for private travel. Shortly after departing from the airport, the flight experienced difficulties and attempted to return to the runway.
