New York City — Authorities are investigating what officials describe as a possible assassination attempt after a suspicious device was discovered outside the residence of New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani.
According to early reports, two suspects were seen placing a device near the property before quickly leaving the area. Law enforcement sources say the suspicious object was later identified as a possible explosive device, prompting an immediate response from the NYPD Bomb Squad.
