A deadly shooting late last night inside Buford’s Bar in Austin, Texas, has left three people dead — including the suspected gunman — and 14 others injured, according to authorities.

Police say officers responded to reports of shots fired inside the bar shortly before midnight. When they arrived, they encountered an active shooter situation and ultimately shot and killed the suspect.

Authorities have identified the alleged gunman as 53-year-old Ndiaga Diagne. Officials are continuing to investigate his background and possible motive.

Video that has since surfaced from inside the bar shows patrons scrambling for safety in the moments after gunfire erupted. The footage captures confusion, screaming, and people taking cover as first responders rushed to the scene.

Officials have not yet confirmed a motive. Investigators are examining evidence, witness statements, and the suspect’s digital footprint.

Fourteen people were transported to local hospitals with injuries ranging from minor to critical condition.

The Austin Police Department stated that there is no ongoing threat to the public at this time.

This remains an active investigation.
